Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Working in Global Credit under the Credit and Transaction Management team, you will manage and oversee the collateral management and reporting component of an assigned portfolio of Asset Based Lending (ABL) accounts, as well as non-ABL accounts under RBC Capital Markets.You will be responsible for the management of an assigned portfolio of Asset Based Lending accounts, by providing in-depth knowledge of the collateral and lending positions of their clients. You will ensure (i) credit facilities are in compliance with agreements and policies, (ii) prompt response to requests from customers and other RBC units, (iii) bank systems reflect the terms as authorized, and (iv) assist in the identification of deteriorating risk situations.What will you do?Manage the collateral management and reporting component of an assigned portfolio of Asset Based Lending (ABL) accounts.Ensure timely, accurate completion of client uploads to ensure collateral values are followed and to determine client funding availability.Partner with Credit Transaction Management to manage the global credit portfolio and upkeep & maintain limits on Client and Credit Management System (CCMS).Submit and approve administrative electronic transaction requests and monitor receipt of reporting requirements for ABL and non-ABL borrowing clients.Ensure availability is accurately calculated, mitigating undue risk by ensuring proper reserves and ineligibles are taken.Monitor client’s compliance to the terms and conditions of loan and other agreements, ensuring client is operating within ABL requirements.Review periodic collateral reports (i.e. field exams, appraisals) to identify recommendations to be implemented, identify trends and facilitate discussions with Portfolio Manager and clients.Assist in preparation of annual credit reviews, working closely with Associates on tasks as needed.Ensure daily monitoring of client loan positions, identifying trends and notifying Portfolio Management of any deterioration.Update and maintain client collateral monitoring workbooks.Assist in ensuring all supporting and required documentation is provided in timely fashion.Responsible for data integrity of accounts in the assigned portfolio, ensuring bank systems are updated and reflect correct information.Identify and be alert for revenue opportunities that can be taken to Portfolio Management for consideration.Assist Portfolio Management and Associates with adhoc requests as needed.What you need to succeed?Minimum Undergraduate degree in the field of Business, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Math or a related field.1 to 2+ years experience in Asset Based Lending (ABL) or commercial bankingFamiliarity with the ABL credit processes and policiesStrong Data analysis / reporting skills - strong proficiency in MS Excel is required.Strong understanding of loan agreements, field examinations, appraisals and financial reporting.Strong financial and risk analysis skills.Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal RBC partnersAbility to prioritize work and manage competing demands from various groups with which ABL interacts.Ability to strike a balance in putting “Client First” vs. ensuring that internal standards are maintained and deliverables are provided.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
