Schedule Hours: 9 am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/weekThe Business Analysis Specialist is primarily responsible for managing requirements activities for Records Management (RM), Information Governance, and regulatory compliance solutions.
The role supports Global Compliance, Records Management projects, and Technology stakeholders to ensure that records lifecycle controls, retention, disposition, and information governance capabilities meet business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
This role is accountable for defining requirements and driving process changes that minimize business disruption while reducing regulatory, legal, and operational risk, including compliance with records retention, privacy, eDiscovery, audit, and regulatory obligations.Candidate value preposition.Daily activities:
- Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems related to records management, information lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance, applying industry standards, regulatory knowledge, and technology expertise to design effective solutions.
- Lead business analysis activities for records retention, classification, legal hold, disposition, and information governance initiatives, including the assessment of current-state processes and the design of future-state operating models.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and process flows related to records management systems and controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory, legal, and risk requirements.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure solutions support obligations such as regulatory recordkeeping, audit readiness, litigation readiness, and defensible disposition.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions and workshops with business and technology stakeholders, translating policy and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable system and process requirements.
- Support the Project Manager by contributing to detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk identification, while tracking progress and escalating issues as needed.
- Plan and coordinate the development and implementation of requirements across the full delivery lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, rollout, and post-implementation support.
- Validate and confirm the accuracy and completeness of requirements with stakeholders and ensure traceability through design, testing, and implementation.
- Participate in system implementations by:
o Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)
o Developing user procedures, workflows, and training materials
o Supporting transition to steady-state operations
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of initiatives through clear documentation, effective stakeholder engagement, and strong governance practices.
- 9 years of business analysis experience in a Financial Institution
- 5 Years of experience using Mapp & flow chart software tool (e.g., MS Visio), JIRA, and Confluence.
- 5-7 years of working experience in systems development techniques (e.g., Waterfall & hybrid and/or full Agile), including requirements/user story specification and testing methodologies.
Record management experience is preferred. (Hiring team is aware of how challenging is to find this experience; however, this is highly preferred.Soft Skills Required:

- Demonstrates leadership skills along with negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain cooperation from the team, end users, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills.
- Demonstrates time management and organization skills in order to effectively manage work on multiple projects/initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field or relevant experience.Best VS. Average Candidate:
The best candidate is someone who has Record Management experience in FI and can effectively lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, document detailed requirements, and conduct requirements review sessions with both business and technology partners.
