- Evaluate existing applications and their UX (user experience) effectiveness considering human-computer interaction principles of design
- Design accessible, mobile-friendly interfaces for online quotes, self-serve policy changes, and claims reporting.
- Developing and maintaining design wireframes, mockups, storyboards, journey maps, sitemaps, screen flows and specifications
- Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
- Running user testing of applications, software, and websites with employees and customers
- Conducting competitor and customer analysis to inform designs and create best in class online customer experiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet both user needs and industry compliance standards.
- Build requirements and coordinate with the development team to bring the designs to life
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand client needs across personal, commercial, and specialty insurance.
- Continuously optimize digital experiences based on analytics, broker feedback, and customer insights.
- Manage a Figma instance including a design system
- Post-Secondary Education with discipline in Web design & Development/Customer Science/Marketing/Business or Related field
- 3+ years experience
- UX designers must have a solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies
- Superb communication, time-management, problem-solving, organizational, and process-management skills
- Creativity, passion, and attention to detail are also key requirements for success in this role
- Knowledge of industry tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin and OmniGraffle
