- Business Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, workflows, and systems within the transit agency, public sector, and bus operations.
- Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications through various elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys, etc.).
- Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, data models, and system diagrams.
- Product Ownership:
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, representing the voice of the customer and business needs.
- Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business value.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the Agile software development lifecycle, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Translate high-level business requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution among stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor product performance post-launch and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of combined experience in Business Analysis and/or Product Ownership roles.
- Demonstrated experience working within a Transit Agency is essential.
- Proven experience on projects within the Public Sector, understanding the unique stakeholder landscape, procurement processes, and regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding and experience with Bus Operations, including but not limited to, dispatch, scheduling, fleet management, maintenance systems, and real-time information systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Transportation Planning, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components.
- Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate productive meetings, drive consensus, and influence outcomes.
- Experience with requirements management tools and techniques.
- Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and requirements.
