Mechanical Design Engineer

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of product design experience in Optoelectronic industrial electronic product industries.
• Experience in ProE/Creo design and drafting applied to industrial and consumer electronics or opto-electronic products. Familiar with Solid Works is a plus.
• Experience in CNC machining, injection molded plastic, die cast, and sheet metal part/assembly design.
• Precision opto-mechanical assembly design and manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience working with ODM, JDM is a plus.
• Familiarity with and being able to run basic software on Opto-mechanical or Electro-mechanical devices and vision systems is a plus.
• Experience in CNC Machining is preferred.
• Experience with 3D printing is preferred.
• Experience with GD&T, Design for manufacturing (DFM) and manufacturing process is preferred.
• DFA/DFM experience applied to volume production products.

• Top 3 skillsets: Creo/Solidworks/Windchill mechanical design, testing support, documentation and troubleshooting, communication.

• Develops and tests on a variety of mechanical assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project.
• Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.
• Tests documentation which describes the specific mechanical functionality.
• Runs tests designed by more experienced engineers.
• Makes changes to or upgrades existing mechanical designs. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions.
• Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity.
• Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Insures compliance with quality process and standards.
• Primary intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.
• Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments.
• Reviews test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems.
