Get a peek into life here at Kraft Heinz through our and TikTok channels!Senior Accountant at a Glance….This Senior Accountant reports to Manager, North America Zone Reporting. This role plays a critical role in the fair presentation of financial information of the North America Zone and the related internal controls. This role prepares the statement of cash flows, prepares balance sheet and cash flow analyses, provides insights, opportunities & risks to other Accounting teams, Finance and leadership.Key considerations include understanding accounting impacts on the Zone financial statements, including but not limited to income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, as well as other quarterly financial statement disclosures. This position will analyze Zone financial statements to confirm consistency between Zone strategic directives, and reporting of monthly and quarterly results. This position will work closely with the Global Consolidations and External Reporting teams to capture and provide the relevant information for our external financial statements. In addition, this role liaises across multiple functions and coordinates the flow of information between multiple levels of management, including Business Unit and Zone CFOs and the Global Controller. Further, this role will carry out tracking of account analytics to attempt to detect accounting errors in a timely manner.What’s on the menu?
  • Prepare the statement of cash flows monthly
  • Develop effective monthly financial statement analytic procedures to identify errors and anomalies, and provide meaningful explanations for month over month, year-to-date and year-over-year variances
  • Develop an efficient process to gather, accumulate, and validate information from business partners for reporting to Global Consolidations, for use in quarterly external reporting
  • Confirm information provided meets US GAAP criteria for disclosure requirements and if necessary, develop feedback process to business partners
  • Support internal and external audits, including SOX testing and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Partner with Business Unit team members to understand the financial impacts of Zone strategic directives
  • Analyze results monthly to provide insights, opportunities & risks to other Accounting teams, Finance and leadership
  • Perform balance sheet deep dive analysis
  • Gather and develop monthly Zone Controllership project status and financial results for presentation to Zone CFO, and on a quarterly basis, to Global Controller
  • Monthly presentation to leadership
  • Lead meetings with other Accounting teams, Finance and leadership
  • Liaise with Business Unit and Zone CFOs and Business and Budget Planning personnel to understand the performance of the business and changes in long-term outlook for our business and brands
  • Provide WHQ Accounting quarterly information for impairment trigger monitoring on a timely manner as defined
  • Special projects, for example, work with various teams to develop global Monthly Performance Review process and dashboard
  • Improve timeliness of reporting to Global Consolidations and External Reporting for key information for disclosure
  • Identify process gaps. Lead process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Work with Information Technology and business partners to improve processes to support growth and strategic shifts
  • Educate business on the mapping of accounts from SAP to HFM

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of experience including public accounting with emphasis in SEC engagements (Big 4 public accounting firm preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced, complex global organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
  • Excellent analytical, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Experience auditing or reviewing processes, desired
  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management, desired
