Further information is available atSUMMARYBGIS ITS Canada Ltd., a division of BGIS, is looking for an experienced BAS Technician/Building Operator. The Building Automation System Technician is responsible for servicing and maintaining Building Automation Systems (BAS) in client facilities. Attend client sites to complete service and preventive maintenance tasks, program/download/install BAS-related hardware and software, create custom graphical user interfaces, and implement energy and operational optimization initiatives.BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEMS (BAS) TECHNICIANThe BAS Technician is responsible for the provision of building operations, maintenance, and repairs to support a wide array of facilities including commercial, condominium, multi-use residential, and municipalities. The BAS Technician works on a wide variety of assigned tasks to meet the needs of our clients.The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Proven BAS knowledge and experience with Niagara experience.
  • Over five years of experience in the provision of BAS programming, graphics development, integration, commissioning, and client training. Previous experience with Preventative Maintenance and Service Calls is an asset.
  • Proven Niagara experience, N4 Certified is an asset.
  • Proficiency with HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of IT and networks would be an asset.
  • Intuitive ability to diagnose research and rectify programming, commissioning and integration issues.
  • Ability to learn and utilize various BAS computer software(s).
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
