Randstad is excited to partner with our client, a Marine Transportation leader, who is committed to safety, environmental stewardship, and cutting-edge fuel-efficient technologies. Our client fosters a mission-driven culture where employees are empowered to grow, innovate, and chart a sustainable future together. They are looking for a Captain of their tanker vessel, to join their team and work out at sea on a month on, month off rotation.The Captain acts as the company's representative on board, with a focus on ensuring the safety of the crew and contractors, protecting the environment, and safeguarding company assets and commercial interests. You'll be the final authority on all safety and pollution prevention matters. This role requires adherence to all relevant Canadian shipping and labor regulations, as well as internal company policies and international standards, including the ISM Code and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. This is a non-unionized management role.Advantages

Ensure the safety of all personnel, including crew and contractors. Oversee safe vessel and cargo operations. Protect the marine environment and the owner's commercial interests. Uphold company policies and international maritime regulations. Lead and manage the deck department.Qualifications
◾Master Mariner (preferred) or Master, Near Coastal Certificate of Competency issued by Transport Canada
◾Transport Canada Marine Medical
◾Specialized (Advanced) Oil Tanker Endorsement
◾General Operator's License (GOC - GMDSS)
◾Certificate of Proficiency in STCW Basic Safety
◾Certificate of Proficiency in STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats
◾Certificate of Proficiency in STCW Advanced Fire Fighting
