Ensure the safety of all personnel, including crew and contractors. Oversee safe vessel and cargo operations. Protect the marine environment and the owner's commercial interests. Uphold company policies and international maritime regulations. Lead and manage the deck department.Qualifications
◾Master Mariner (preferred) or Master, Near Coastal Certificate of Competency issued by Transport Canada
◾Transport Canada Marine Medical
◾Specialized (Advanced) Oil Tanker Endorsement
◾General Operator's License (GOC - GMDSS)
◾Certificate of Proficiency in STCW Basic Safety
◾Certificate of Proficiency in STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats
◾Certificate of Proficiency in STCW Advanced Fire Fighting
