Explore with us-your journey starts here.What You'll DoReporting to the Deputy CAO, the Director, Information Technology (IT) Services is responsible for the overall strategic direction and operational management of IT services for the Corporation and any local municipalities/agencies that have an agreement with the Corporation. The Director is responsible for managing and leading all department staff, IT vendors, as well as initiating, coordinating and enforcing departmental systems, policies and procedures. The Director defines, delivers, and supports strategic plans for researching and implementing technology or technology services, as well as recommending changes and improvements to existing technology within the organization.Contract Duration: 6 monthsWhat We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
  • Post-secondary or Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration (IT Focus) or related field
  • Holds or has held relevant technical certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISM
  • Seven years of experience in a technology related field, with three years or more of experience in a senior level position managing IT resources, services and staff
  • Experience in a municipal environment in a senior management role an asset
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic technology solutions to effectively solve business problems with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting working relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating strategic and engagement-planning initiatives
  • Demonstrated time management and project management sills
  • Intuitive grasp of organizational structure to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation with ability to collaborate and promote effective teamwork
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Experience with budget preparation and management
  • Must hold a valid G driver's license and have the ability to travel
