Your Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced mental health professional to join our Camrose Child & Youth Health Services team! The ideal candidate will have a completed and valid license under the Health Professions Act, be knowledgeable and have significant experience working with children and families, be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances, and be motivated to learn and develop their clinical skills within a team environment. This position contributes to the establishment and maintenance of the Mental Health resources in the community. The successful candidate will directly provide intensive supports and treatment to complex child and adolescent patients and families. Camrose is a city south of Edmonton with many amenities and a picturesque main street.Description:As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.

Required Qualifications:Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college. Additional Required Qualifications:3-5 years' experience working with community addiction & mental health is required. Registered psychiatric nurse (RPN) will be considered for this position. At least 2 years' experience in working with child and adolescent population (ages 5 to 17 years old). Preferred Qualifications:Experience with play therapy is preferred.
