Job OverviewWe are recruiting a Heavy Duty-Equipment Technician to join our team in our Blackfalds AB shop. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment. The ideal must have previous experience in heavy truck and trailer repair, excellent problem-solving skills, knowledge of off-road and on-road equipment, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
Collaborate with team members for effective operations.
Requirements
Journeyperson certification or registered apprentice
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Heavy-Equipment Technician
Valid Driver's License
Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including cannabis.
