We're seeking a Operations Leadership Trainee - Milling to join our team at ADM's flour mill in Canadian Locations. This program offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on manufacturing and leadership experience within a world-class organization. As an Operations Leadership Trainee, you'll learn the real-world workings of ADM-from our people and processes to our equipment and safety culture.
Through structured rotations, you'll build foundational skills in production management, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and employee leadership. The experience provides a strong platform for long-term career growth within ADM's operations network.What You'll Do
- Supervise operations and employees in a manufacturing environment
- Perform the duties of department superintendents as needed
- Provide strong leadership in safety, quality, and production
- Develop and submit budgets for capital projects
- Monitor inventory, production levels, and shift performance
- Use problem-solving techniques to resolve process upsets
- Apply best manufacturing practices to improve yield and efficiency
- Direct and oversee engineering projects and collaborate on design improvements
- Determine equipment requirements and costs for plant expansions
- Work cross-functionally with vendors, contractors, maintenance, and consultants
- Maintain operational records, monitor performance, and ensure efficient production
- Fluency in both French and English (verbal and written)
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Agricultural/Biological Systems Engineering, or Food Science (recently completed)
- Demonstrated self-starter with strong initiative and accountability
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and motivational abilities
- Continuous improvement mindset and results-driven attitude
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility
- Willingness to occasionally work off-shifts to meet operational needs
