This is a temporary full-time position with 5 days on, 2 days off rotation with 48 hours a week. Opportunity to work as Direct Service Provider (Contractor) without your own Service Rig.Bonnyville: Fabrication Shop, does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.Responsibilities:
Have thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filter rods.
Gather all pipe fittings required for the drawing package , document heat numbers, cutting pipe, prep fittings, prepping dlegs/trunnions.
Set up fittings and pipe to be tacked, Tacking experience required
Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.
Must be able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawing
Stainless experience is an asset.
Working knowledge of welding equipment involved with various welding procedures.
