The JDMI is committed to ongoing education and quality assurance initiatives and is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute of Education.As a valued member of Team JDMI, you will play a key role in providing administrative support to health professionals and leaders of multi-site department.Duties
- Answering, screening, and triaging telephone calls
- Receiving patients/visitors coming in for tests, procedures, and appointments
- Scheduling patients for tests, special procedures, and urgent/emergency appointments
- Following established procedures to ensure the efficient flow of patients and patient appointments
- Providing routine clerical support services
- At minimum, completion of a post- secondary certificate up to 1 year in Office Administration, or recognized equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year experience using computer applications or health information system (i.e., EPIC MS Office)
- At minimum 1 year experience in front-line customer service
- General knowledge of office practices, process and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
- Knowledge of RIS, CD burning software, preferred
- Experience working in a health care environment, an asset
- Knowledge of a second language, an asset
