I'm a first-time mom to a sweet and very active 10-month-old baby girl. We live in a condo in the Quail Ridge area with our two cats. I'm currently on maternity leave, but I'll be heading back to work (fully remote) in the new year. My husband works in sales and is home a couple days a week. We're looking for part-time childcare, roughly 10 am - 2 pm Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around hours. Until I return to work, we'd also love occasional help for date nights so you and our baby can get to know each other before more regular care begins. We are a vegan household, and while you don't need to be vegan yourself, we ask that you respect our lifestyle and our choice to raise our daughter vegan. Instilling values like kindness and compassion for people and animals is important to us. No household chores are expected beyond washing her bottles as needed and tidying up toys after play. A driver's license isn't required if you're happy to stay home or play outside, but if you'd like to take her out to activities (like baby time or the park), then a license is necessary. We've also started early potty training, which for now means putting her on the potty after naps and helping reinforce the potty sign. You'd need to be comfortable assisting with this process. Our family loves being outdoors, camping, having dance parties, and staying active. We don't do screen time, so we're looking for someone who can keep up with our baby's high energy. She loves reading books, crawling, climbing, and exploring, and she's quick to let you know when she's frustrated. You'll need to be energetic and engaging, while also staying calm, cool, and collected. She knows a few baby signs (milk, more, all done, sleep), though she doesn't always use them consistently yet.
