Shipping/Receiving Equipment Coordinator.This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Northumberland's Top Employers.We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving & Equipment Coordinator to join our client’s team in Cobourg. This is an amazing opportunity to join a well established company in the Cobourg area. In this role, you’ll coordinate shipping and receiving, manage inventory, and oversee tools and equipment to keep operations running smoothly.This is a new role and our client does need someone who is willing to provide input, asks questions and has amazing communication skills. This role does require you to work independently.What you’ll do:
  • Managing the flow of goods into and out of the facility
  • Receiving, inspecting and storing incoming items
  • Handle shipping/receiving, prepare documentation, and arrange transport.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment (training available)
  • Track and maintain tools, equipment, and consumables
  • Distributing tools and equipment to authorized personnel and receiving them back after use
  • Reporting any problems, order new parts, send equipment tools out for repair
  • Ensuring tools are stored properly in designated locations
  • Maintaining a clean and organized tool crib and facility
  • Light maintenance
  • Keep inventory records accurate and up to date
  • Support production teams with materials and equipment needs
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized building and yard
What you bring:
  • Experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory control
  • Familiarity with a wide range of tools, their uses and safety precautions
  • Knowledge of tools and safety practices (tool crib experience an asset)
  • Ability to lift and move materials, tools and equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office; ERP knowledge an asset)
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
