Duties and Responsibilities:The key job functions are:
Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal correspondence and documentation
Drafting routine legal documents and assisting with file management
Managing calendars, booking client meetings, and coordinating court dates
Filing documents with the courts (including e-filing where applicable)
Opening, maintaining, and closing client files
Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties in a professional manner
Processing billing, time entry, and expense submissions
Conducting basic legal research as directed
Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
Education:
Completion of a Legal Assistant or Legal Administrative Assistant diploma is considered a strong asset.
Equivalent legal support experience will also be considered.

Base Salary: 20.00-$30.00+ per hour depending on assignment and experience
Temporary employees are payrolled weekly via direct deposit.

Day shifts
Monday - Friday
Up to 40 hours per week
Part-time opportunities available - 1-3 days per week
