Objective of the Position:The Compensation/HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration of compensation and classification and benefits programs and supporting the HRIS Lead by assisting with data management and system updates in the HRIS system.Duties:
  • Assists the Total Compensation and HRIS Leads with accurate data entry, system updates, and generating reports, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery.
  • Participates in the job evaluation process and ensures consistency and compliance across different groups/unions, while documenting job evaluation results, providing rationale for ratings, and updating the job evaluation database and related documentation.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes salary data from market-based compensation surveys.to ensure market competitiveness;
  • Prepares, reviews, and submit compensation surveys (e.g., OHA Regional Salary Survey, ad hoc requests) within set timelines, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Generates ad hoc compensation reports from the HR information system as input to compensation review/analysis.
  • Maintains and updates databases, systems, reports, documents, and tools used for salary analysis, ensuring the accuracy of data and compliance with guidelines, policies, procedures and pay equity requirements.
  • Assists with the Step Increase/progression and COLA program for unionized and non-unionized workforce
  • Reviews and process compensation requests (e.g., responsibility pay, bonuses, etc.), ensuring adherence to established guidelines and policies.
  • Maintains and creates compensation tables (job codes, salary scales, etc.) in HRIS.
  • Conduct audits of HR related data to ensure accuracy and validity and is responsible for correcting discrepancies uncovered, and updating system
  • Works in a manner that complies with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Finance or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in job evaluation, job description development, and working with HRIS systems, with a strong understanding of compensation structures, job classification systems, and related legislation, preferably within a unionized hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of Compensation and Job Evaluation Practices: Understanding of compensation structures, job classification systems, and related legislation.
  • Experience with HR information systems, Knowledge of HRIS systems and supporting compensation-related processes, including data management and system updates
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression. Bilingualism an asset.
