The Structural Engineer will be part of the TULLOCH Engineering team. You will:
- Perform design and analysis of buildings, bridges, and other new and existing structures
- Review, check, and approve technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations
- Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
- Perform construction inspection
- Assist with project management and construction administration
- Liaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business development
- Participate in public and stakeholder consultation
- Oversee and mentor Engineering Interns and co-op students
- You must have a P.Eng. licence (required)
- You have at least 5-10 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry
- Bridge design experience is an asset
- Extensive Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an asset
- You have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your team
- You make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should have:
- High motivation with results-oriented focus
- Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
