- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Home Hardware’s EDI systems to ensure reliable and accurate electronic data exchanges with our supplier community.
- Assess supplier EDI capabilities and provide guidance, support, and documentation tailored to varying levels of EDI knowledge.
- Collaborate and negotiate with suppliers and third-party EDI providers to successfully implement and support EDI documents and integrations.
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting internal users and business processes by clearly communicating EDI concepts and resolving issues efficiently.
- Monitor EDI communications to ensure FTP, SFTP, and AS2 connections are operating effectively, working with suppliers, Value Added Networks (VANs), and third-party providers to resolve connectivity issues.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report on failed EDI transactions related to system or business compliance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop, update, and maintain EDI maps, including required coding changes, to support evolving business needs.
- Configure, implement, and test new EDI translation, communication, and related software while ensuring uninterrupted business operations, and continuously improve the EDI environment to keep it current and competitive.
- Diploma in Business or Computer Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with EDI standards, transaction sets, and file formats, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, flat files, and documents such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 204, 214, 990, and 997.
- Hands-on experience with EDI communication protocols and environments, including FTP, SFTP, AS2, and EDI Value Added Networks (VANs).
- Experience using EDI translation software (e.g., Trusted Link Enterprise or similar), including coding, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI maps.
- Knowledge of or experience with Python programming to support data integration, automation, or analysis.
- Ability to configure, test, and implement new EDI software and enhancements while supporting ongoing business operations.
- Strong understanding of supplier and customer EDI relationships, including shipping and shipment packaging processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business systems.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
- The expected starting salary range for this role is $52,400 to $68,800; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
