- Oversee the inventory of raw materials, WIP, finished goods and packaging by running daily/weekly inventory reports to discover and analyzing discrepancies in the inventory data while striving to improve the inventory control systems.
- Be responsible to reconcile and monitor inventory accuracy while investigating and resolving any errors or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Implement proactive measures and/or continuous improvements to ensure inventory discrepancies are prevented.
- Generate and prepare reports in SAP including thorough analysis with recommendations on inventory issues.
- Track and monitor movement of materials and make recommendations for corrective actions based on on-going analysis.
- Work closely with Procurement and QA to Lead (and manage) the return to vendor process.
- Support QA and Supply Chain by investigating cost implications and analysis of raw material substitutions.
- Work closely with QA and production to closely investigate and monitor the cost of quality including waste metrics generated from quality corrective actions.
- Be responsible for inventory write offs (this includes raw material & finished goods) including investigation and root cause analysis to determine recommendations for any required corrective action.
- Oversee cycle counting process and ensure compliance with established control process including weekly reporting.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Supply Chain to support monthly financial close and lead and manage the inventory reserve process.
- Develop inventory dashboard to consolidate relevant monthly results including inventory loss (write offs, waste, reserve) as well as quality (holds, returns, claims)
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including participation in physical inventory counts as required.
- Provide backup coverage for Production analyst (TECO Process and Production Reporting).
- Analyze daily production reports to provide recommendations to improve usage variance.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the standard costing system, including active participation in the review of production variances for reasonability.
- Exceptional SAP knowledge- Minimum 5 years prior experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment is required.
- University degree or equivalent in business or finance.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and understanding of data management.
- Strong problem solver, able to create solutions to challenges in an expedient manner.
- Able to communicate effectively with various organizational levels.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Prior experience with inventory management and cost accounting is required.
