Our client is currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support their Business Law Practice Group. The position offers the opportunity to work with a vibrant and team-oriented group of people. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Canadian law firm, be energetic, flexible, highly motivated and driven to succeed.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Interact professionally with clients for appointments and other matters
  • File maintenance and management, including opening and closing files, and keeping paper and electronic files up to date
  • Manage calendars and maintain an effective bring-forward system
  • Liaise with other legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, and clients to monitor and support file progress
  • Prepare and send outgoing correspondence
  • Handle document management tasks, including printing, scanning, and saving correspondence, etc.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Complete semi-monthly billing process
  • Perform other general administrative duties as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in corporate commercial law
  • Previous experience in, or working knowledge of, civil litigation procedures
  • Proficiency in BC Online and myLTSA considered an asset
  • Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program
  • Advanced technical and computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills

The salary range for this role is $64,000 - $74,000 annually, which represents a fair market value and estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
