- Deliver quality work and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR).
- Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans.
- Provide close interface with, and promote the understanding of, other discipline functions.
- Engage Fluor's global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset.
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
- Participate in people development through mentoring of less experienced Designers, including providing performance appraisal input and counseling.
- Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities.
- Support the Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed.
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
- May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study, or; A combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- 2-5 years of mining experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
- Practical field experience
- Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
- 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D CAD systems and procedures
- Microstation, Smart Plant 3D, AutoCAD
- 3D modeling software, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Bentley Inroads (legacy software)
- Managing and leading small to medium-sized projects
- Boundary and topographical surveys (civil)
- Procurement and construction aspects of engineering
