  • Conduct laboratory and field tests in compliance with prevailing standards and procedures
  • Perform field quality control testing (Material Sampling, Compaction, Coring)
  • Examine the samples provided and work being performed and advise on any discrepancies on test or field reports or activities
  • Advise the Superintendent/Supervisor of any quality issues or failures in the form of non - conformances and work to resolve deficiencies
  • Ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated
  • Be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
  • Follow our Quality Control Management Systems
Requirements
  • Willingness to work day or night shifts interchangeably
  • Available to work weekends
  • Post-secondary education in a civil engineering or related field, an asset but not required
  • Background of aggregate use in road building, concrete, recycling, and asphalt production an asset
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent Mathematical skills
  • Computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word)
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • G License with Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather
