
Janitorial Manager - Kelowna Airport (YLW)

- Integrated Asset and facilities management;
- Operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment (including district heating and cooling);
- Energy efficiency solutions and execution of decarbonization roadmaps;
- Building automation and systems;
- Solutions for transportation and mobility.
- Oversee daily janitorial operations using CMMS (Maximo) to manage tasks, service requests, and maintenance logs.
- Complete payroll duties, including timesheet and vacation submission through Dayforce
- Conduct and document a required number of safety audits per month, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies
- Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies of materials and equipment are maintained and used efficiently
- Investigate complaints related to janitorial services or equipment and implement timely corrective actions
- Conduct regular quality control inspections and follow up on deficiencies to maintain contractual standards
- Lead, motivate and support janitorial staff to deliver high-quality service aligned with client expectations
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff and casual/ on-call employees.
- Maintain staff schedules and provide daily direction and support to meet operational objectives
- Monitor performance, provide input for evaluations, and support staff development and training needs
- Ensure staff comply with dress code and professional behaviour standards
- Supervise unionized staff in accordance with applicable collective agreements
- Manage third-party contractors when required and ensure service integration
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in Janitorial or housekeeping services within a large public or regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of green cleaning practices and specialized cleaning equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain enhanced government security clearance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and interact with diverse staff and clients
