Kambo delivers three in-house programs: Empower Me, Community Power, and the Home Upgrades Program.delivers multilingual education, support, and coaching services to ensure underrepresented communities have access to energy, climate, and home retrofit programs.supports Indigenous Nations to build, renovate, and improve community housing.provides fully subsidized energy retrofits to improve affordability for households living in energy poverty.About the opportunity:This is a full-time, temporary position for approximately 13-14 months, with the possibility of extension.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will own the delivery of consulting projects across multiple divisions of Kambo. The successful candidate will do more than delivering projects on-time and on-budget while exceeding customer expectations. They will have the opportunity to define project management standards for execution, tracking and reporting. This natural leader with strong collaboration skills will partner with divisional leaders to develop these standards and automate them, creating organizational dashboards to inform future consulting opportunities and internal resource management.Responsibilities:Proposal Management
  • Partner with Partnership Managers and Project Operations Leads to develop objectives, timelines, milestones, resource management plans and budget estimate for proposals.
Project Execution
  • Support project execution team to ensure projects are delivered according to scope, quality, standards, and budget.
  • Facilitate change management requirements.
  • Facilitate resource management across projects.
  • Monitor, track and report project KPI’s to project team.
  • Regularly report on and track project financials.
  • Identify, monitor, track and resolve risks and issues.
  • Ensure time tracking and expense management are executed within the project requirements.
  • Evaluate project outcomes to continuously improve processes and communication.
Standards
  • Ensure adherence to project and communication standards.
  • Maintain a library of relevant templates for project management, financial estimating and tracking, and internal & external communication.
  • Maintain best practices for project management.
Communication
  • Facilitate recurring project meetings.
  • Ensure consistent communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ proven experience in project management, preferably with a background in consulting projects
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated interest in and passion for energy systems and/or sustainability.
  • Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of diverse communities and organizations.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to distinguish standards from customized requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt between overseeing deliverables and resources to taking a hands-on approach to executing tasks when needed.
