Lead teams toward department goals regarding safety, quality, and on-time delivery
Work with employees on continuous improvement activities
Responsible to assist in performance management of staff including orientation, safety, and performance management
Be an active member of the SWAT to encourage and support the department
Assist in maintaining departmental workplace injury documentation and performance measures to achieve KPI's within these three departments
Provide product and process training to employees, cross train employees in a variety of jobs
Ensure that product meets quality standards
You will bring:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership ability (including the ability to handle conflict)
Strong knowledge of all Loewen products/manufacturing processes
Strong commitment to Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery and Productivity
Strong problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Demonstrated support for change
Ability to flex to multiple workstations and spend up to 50% of your time on the floor as required.
Must be safety oriented
Average computer skills required using MS Office and AS400
