And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!Job DescriptionSchedule: Day shift positionRESPONSIBLITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide basic training for all new employees for D20, and Inspection (i.e., fundamentals of Machine and Paint processes, function of Drives, Starters, and components within and the use of tooling, drawings, measurements, material kitting etc.)
  • Train employees on how to retrieve and read documentation (SAP, Documented Work Instructions (DWIs), Cambridge Specific Policy (CSP), drawings).
  • Train employees using DWI, upholding Reasonable Expectations (REs), functional standards and procedures, and company Quality requirements.
  • Coordinates and support training requirements in the production and materials departments as required.
  • Updates FTPC centralized training records, maintain access and prepare reports.
  • Coordinating training activities and giving instruction to employees as appropriate.
  • Driving to root cause and corrective action activities to ensure successful closure to and meeting of daily expectations.
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and support corrective action activities.
  • Working with quality engineers to define required quality procedures and communicate as needed.
  • Support organizational Lean/CI and Rockwell Production System activities.
  • Act as a trouble shooter and liaison with other departments to ensure customer service levels are being maintained.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.
  • Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.
  • Participate in Behavioral Based Safety and contribute to the program.
  • Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities.
  • Performs work in accordance with job -specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards.
  • Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.
  • Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.
  • All other duties as required and assigned by supervision.

  • Tooling knowledge on a variety of equipment and processes.
  • Understanding of a variety of Metal Fabrication principles and coating processes.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:
  • Level 5: 6 Years Related Experience, College Diploma or equivalent post-secondary education courses or a minimum 5 years’ sheet metal experience.
  • Machine tool experience.
  • Previous experience in Lean and Kaizen events.
PREREQUISITES:
  • 5 years’ experience on machine processes, preferably at Rockwell Cambridge
  • Experience Training others
  • Experience as a permanent Rockwell Automation employee.
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs.
  • Meets the requirement of Safety, Attendance and Code of Conduct policies.
  • Consistently behaves in accordance with Rockwell Automation standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Walk/stand for long periods of time.
  • Self-motivated, Frequent interactions with peers/management
  • Strong Mechanical/Electrical aptitude
  • Interact with business system computer software and machinery efficiently.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures or other instructions diligently.
  • Responsible for utilizing proper safety equipment and following all safety procedures.
