- Conducting assessments of HVAC and Plumbing systems.
- Preparing reports, cost estimates, detailed drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Providing support during tendering, contract administration and commissioning.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in business development and the preparation of proposals.
- Responsible for mentoring other staff.
- Working on internal technical development projects along with technical presentations to peers and clients.
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Registered, or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
- 6+ years progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering within the consulting engineering environment.
- Proficiency in building load analysis software.
- Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Revit is an asset.
- Experience with the assessment and design of building HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Experience with energy audits and energy modelling is an asset.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidiscipline design team and communicate to achieve project objectives.
- Ability to conduct site reviews to assess condition, determine progress, deficiencies, and enforce contract documents.
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate innovative thinking.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
