
Senior Associate, Investment Consulting

- Prepare and review performance monitoring reports for institutional clients.
- Prepare presentations on investment topics (e.g. investment fundamentals, manager selection, manager structure and asset classes).
- Write commentary, conclusions and recommendations in investment reports.
- Conduct searches for investment managers or DC service providers.
- Review and amend governance documents (e.g. statement of investment policies and procedures, and terms of reference).
- Demonstrate research and analytical skills, apply knowledge to our clients’ long-range investment strategies and build upon expertise in institutional investing.
- Presenting investment topics and performance reviews at client and internal team meetings.
- Support associates and consultants in all aspects of work.
- Keeping up to date about current financial events and news.
- Participating in internal seminars regarding current industry issues and technical training.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience, experience in a financial/investment consulting, insurance, economics, capital markets pension environment working in an analyst capacity is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Commitment to professional development and improvement. Working towards completion of or interest in completing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program is recommended*
- Bilingualism French/English is required due to frequent interactions with customers, colleagues or collaborators based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or abroad.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, customer-service and team-oriented individual.
- General knowledge of the institutional investment industry, understanding of investment concepts and the financial markets.
- Highly organized and results-oriented individual, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven problem-solving skills, ability to make decisions and develop solutions.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and establish relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and clients.
- Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
