- Develop high quality software solutions that integrate into/leverage existing enterprise systems.
- Support existing internal and third party software system developments.
- Interface with internal clients to understand their business requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and providing timely resolutions.
- Create detailed supporting documentation including Technical Specifications.
- Supervise other team members coding techniques.
- A B.Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent), with a minimum of 7 years of enterprise development experience.
- A strong understanding of object-oriented development, Software Development Life Cycle and relational database design.
- A minimum of 5 years PowerBuilder experience. Version 2021 and higher preferred.
- Extensive SQL experience (including use of stored code) – MS-SQL preferred, Oracle acceptable
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON parsing, experience with various systems integration tasks including creation of C# wrappers and assemblies.
- Excellent problem solving, data analysis and English communication skills (written and oral).
- The ability to write efficient, maintainable code that conforms to internal development standards.
- Ability to overview team members coding practices and create generic reusable classes.
- Be highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Good understanding of version control systems, Subversion preferred.
- The ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Agile software development methodology, Telecommunication industry and Selenium are assets.
