- Lead the payroll team and manage daily operations
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll for all employees
- Coach and support team members, monitoring performance
- Maintain compliance with company policies and tax/employment regulations
- Process earnings, benefits, deductions, and adjustments
- Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and year-end documentation
- Act as the main contact for complex payroll questions
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data
- Streamline payroll processes and improve systems for efficiency
- Maintain internal controls, audit reports, and detailed payroll records
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements
- Participate in payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvements
- Completed PCP certification is considered a strong asset
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive payroll experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Excellent understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standards, including tax laws and regulations
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Excel
- $75,000 – $100,000 salary range
