Finishing End Superintendent, Adams Lake, British ColumbiaAs a Finishing End Superintendent at Interfor, you'll lead a motivated team in a dynamic, technical manufacturing environment. You'll oversee the safe and efficient operation of the planer mill, dry kiln, inventory yards, and shipping department, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Highlights of the Role
  • Safety: Champion a culture of safety and lead by example.
  • Operations: Oversee planer mill, dry kiln, yards, and shipping for productivity, quality, and cost control.
  • Environment: Manage environmental activities, including storm water, dust, and process water systems.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with sales and process control teams to align products and drive value.
  • Improvement: Lead continuous improvement and support capital projects.
What You Offer
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of manufacturing and sawmill processes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in manufacturing operations, with 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Forestry, Business, or equivalent industrial experience is preferred.
