Senior EstimatorLocation Mississauga, ON.Salary:$110,000-$150,000 (based upon experience)Reference # 16816683The Opportunity:We have partnered with an established Construction Contractor who is seeking to hire a Senior Estimator with Water/Wastewater construction experience for their Mississauga location. With a strong reputation for developing innovative and tailored solutions, this company has a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget across the GTA and Ontario.The Role:Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction, the Senior Estimator is responsible for the quantification, cost estimation, and bid preparation for all construction projects. The Senior Estimator will work closely with the Project Management Team in the preparation of estimates, project initiation and planning.Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation of project prequalification and proposals
Conduct detailed review and analysis of contract documents prior to tender closing
Identify project risks and opportunities, making risk mitigation recommendations
Complete quantity take-offs from plans and drawings
Manage bids and quotes from subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
Prepare critical path construction schedule
Lead the Estimating team during tender closings
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are accurately reflected in estimates
Coordinate with the construction team for seamless transition to project execution
Mentor Junior Estimators

Key Requirements:

College Diploma or University Degree in Construction or Engineering
Eight (8) to twelve (12) years of construction estimating experience with a general contractor, ideally in a heavy civil environment
Possess an understanding of the local market and have an established network of subcontractors and suppliers
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, sketches, schematics and contract specifications
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Key Technology Requirements:

Exceptional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Timberline, MS Project, Primavera P6 or other estimating software.
