- Indentured Electrical Apprentice preferred but not required.
- Prior trade-specific foundational training is a plus.
- A strong interest in electrical installations, troubleshooting & controls work.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is helpful but not required.
- Strong aptitude for learning technical concepts and troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all work practices.
- Some ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Good communication skills, self-motivated, dependable, timely and able to work well independently, and as part of a team.
- Experience using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills, grinders) safely.
- Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to operate snowmobiles, A.T.V.s and 4x4 trucks in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment as needed.
- Some familiarity with Electrical codes, CSA-Z98 code and the B.C. Safety Standards Act and Elevating devices regulations.
- Basic knowledge of current Work Safe BC regulations.
- Able to operate Passenger ropeways in a safe and responsible manner with training.
- Strong desire to develop a career in the ski industry.
- Valid driver's license and abstract submitted yearly.
- Reliable transportation.
Journeyperson in a timely fashion. * Assist with the maintenance and installation & troubleshooting of electrical systems, including AC & DC motors, mv & low voltage distribution, ski lift equipment - PLCs, control panels, sensors, and motors.
- Support troubleshooting and diagnostics of ski lift & building systems in industrial or commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
- Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in system testing, calibration, and validation of electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on ski lift systems to ensure continued functionality.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe manner.
- Keep good track of work and ensure records are kept up to date.
- Adhere to all SPRLLP policies as outlined in the current Employee Handbook.
- Keep up to date with changes to applicable company policies, SOG's, Manufacture recommendations, bulletins, codes and regulations.
- Exhibit an eagerness to learn new job tasks.
- Always maintain a high level of regard for safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
