- Provide thought leadership to drive continuous improvement, challenge existing approaches and influence strategic direction.
- Establish a target operating model, including standard operating procedures to support the understanding and documentation for subsidiary reporting.
- Standardize the current reporting process and identify opportunities for automation.
- Lead projects and act as a change agent, recommending improvements to internal processes and enhancing team efficiency
- Lead and develop a team of 2 to 4 professionals
- Accountable for annual internal / external audits where applicable.
- Lead and mentor the team, ensuring team’s professional development, skill enhancement and goal achievement.
- Accounting designation – CPA, CGA, CMA
- 10+ years accounting and finance related experience
- Excellent accounting & finance capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to synthesize complex issues and recommend solutions
- Strong governance and operational coordination skills, analytical proficiency, and knowledge of financial regulations. Excellent stakeholder management and process improvement abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of RBC’s Financial Systems
- Excellent conflict and issue resolution ability
- Experience managing change and projects.
