- Coordinating the planning, design, and construction management of civil/municipal infrastructure projects involving site grading, site development, street reconstruction, water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, parking, and active transportation.
- Preparing construction specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Managing project budgets and schedules.
- Engaging with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior staff.
- Collaborating with a multidiscipline project team.
- Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA and the ability to register in other Western Canadian Provinces.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Proven success in municipal projects and familiarity with municipal and provincial standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong client relationship management and political awareness. Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal working relationships with the pool of potential clients is an asset.
- Ability to integrate climate resilience and sustainability into municipal designs.
