OverviewMainframe Network ConsultantOnsite (Data Centre), Kingston, Ontario, CanadaContract: Up to 3 yearsThe consultant will act as a subject matter expert on a variety of Mainframe network maintenance and Mainframe hardware replacement and migration activities.Technology and SkillsTCP/IP, VTAM, NNM, NDM, AT-TLS between clients/servers/M.F., VPSPRINT, Deliver and TN3270. Daily operational changes, Incident/problem management.Closure of tickets in a timely manner, Keeping clients/management up to date on ticket status.Strong conceptual and practical understanding of Mainframe Networking – Building new infrastructure with automation as per design criteria.Intake and incident resolution – Integration of services such as identity, logging and monitoring.Skills and knowledge transfer.Solution status on various projects being worked on.Demonstration of leading projects and initiatives end to end (technical and non-technical).Knowledge/skills in Communications and Customer ServiceExperience of working with customers/key stakeholders and using communication skills to resolve operational issues, negotiate or document process related intelligence.Knowledge/skills in Analysis and Problem-SolvingAbility to work on Mainframe hardware refresh Project Initivities along with all KTLO and modernization activities.
