Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Ecosystems Team Lead will be an integral part of the Business Center’s leadership team in using your skills to mentor and grow a highly capable and motivated team while ensuring we provide results that go above and beyond client’s expectations. Accordingly, the successful candidate will work with current Team Lead in the collective management and growth of the team.This position can be based at any of our office locations in Winnipeg, MB, Regina, SK, or Saskatoon, SK.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCo-managing the resourcing and development of the Ecosystems Environmental Services TeamCo-supervising junior staff and helping with career developmentCo-chairing regular team meetings and sharing informationCo-leading in the creation of Stantec’s safety culture within your teamSupporting the team to ensure they meet their respective utilization targetsAssisting in the development of quality SOPsEncouraging a culture of innovationInspiring collaboration and cross-training between disciplinesAttracting, growing, and retaining high quality staffCoaching team membersPerforming Year End Performance Reviews for team membersCollaborating and coordinating with other disciplines within the Environmental Services operating unitContributing to the ecosystems components of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across a variety of sectorsParticipating in and/or PMing project workParticipating in marketing / business development and/or proposal developmentYour Capabilities and ExperienceLeadership experience and commitment to Stantec values including inclusion and diversityExperience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in planning and executing projects with limited supervisionA valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required to meet with members of your team who may reside outside your home locationEducation and QualificationsBachelor’s and/or master’s degree in environmental or biological sciences.Minimum 8 years of direct experience in Ecosystems related work in a lead or supporting role.Our typical office environment involves working with computers and remaining relatively sedentary. Stantec offers a flexible work arrangement for desk-based tasks including working from Stantec office locations, working from home, or a mix depending on the situation.
