- Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership teams, enabling informed decision-making and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, consolidate financial data, and deliver accurate forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee cash flow management, fund transfers, and investment strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting operations.
- Supervise the preparation of financial statements, coordinate audits, and ensure adherence to reporting standards.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and conducting performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with international and local treasurers, providing training and support to enhance financial capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, charitable organization requirements, and Canon Law, preparing necessary reports and filings.
- Participate in committees and special projects, contributing to organizational strategies and initiatives.
- Support the management of legacies, wills, and other financial matters as needed.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a leadership capacity, preferably within the charitable or non-profit sectors.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and investment management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.
- Fluency in both French and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software such as Sage 300, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office.
- A commitment to the values and mission of religious communities is considered an asset.
