The City of Edmonton is seeking Ushers to provide an extraordinary, enjoyable experience for all spectators at Commonwealth Stadium. Commonwealth Stadium is recognised as one of the premiere open air, live entertainment venues in the world. The stadium is home to the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League, has hosted sold out concerts and international sporting events in soccer, rugby and athletics. This is a great opportunity to become part of an amazing team that delivers an excellent level of customer service to all spectators who attend the world class events that are hosted at Commonwealth Stadium.What will you do?
  • Greet spectators and act as their first point of contact
  • Scan and take tickets
  • Provide directions to spectators
  • Oversee the seating area and enforce stadium rules and regulations
  • Hold patrons back during game play
  • Restrict entry and re-entry
  • Check the doors and gates and report any malfunctions
  • Provide information regarding upcoming events, history and operations of the stadium
  • Maintain safety of patrons, keep fire exits clear and report any unsafe conditions
Qualifications
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age Previous customer service experience
Asset:
  • Experience working in a live entertainment venue
Skills required for Success:
  • Experience in conflict resolution and dealing with difficult customers
  • Ability to deal with the public and staff in a courteous and professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and information
