- Previous Food Manufacturing Experience – An Asset
- Mechanical or Electrical Knowledge – An Asset
- Read equipment manuals and blueprints to successfully complete installations, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain motors, motor control logic, photo eyes, automation field devices and pneumatic control systems.
- Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components.
- Proficient knowledge using tools such as Multi-meters, Insulation Testers and Thermal Imagers to troubleshoot and identify electrical components in need of overhaul, maintenance or calibration.
- Proficient knowledge using Allen Bradley automation software within the RS Logix family of controllers and Factory Talk View.
- Proficient knowledge with Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
- Proficient knowledge working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), Installing, Troubleshooting and Maintaining.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability.
- Complete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedules.
- Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and internal LOTO policy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- Certification from a nationally accredited PLC institution (Required).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food manufacturing is highly preferred).
- Proficient knowledge using Allen Bradley automation software (Required).
- Proven track record working with Multi-meters, Insulation Testers and Thermal Imaging equipment (Required).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
