- Partner with plant leadership to implement Human Resources (HR) policies, programs, and initiatives aligned with operational goals.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes for site employees.
- Develop and execute recruitment and retention strategies in collaboration with plant leadership.
- Maintain effective working relationships with union representatives and administer the collective agreement.
- Interpret, manage, and support grievance procedures and employee relations matters.
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions.
- Support change management initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with British Columbia (BC) labour laws and employment standards.
- Provide guidance to leadership on performance management and progressive discipline.
- Lead onboarding touchpoints and gather feedback to improve employee experience.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify trends to support retention efforts.
- Manage employee leaves and related documentation.
- Support training initiatives and policy updates in coordination with leadership.
- Participate in leadership discussions related to operational policy and workforce planning.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources (HR), Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Human Resources certification such as Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Willingness to relocate to Golden, BC.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of British Columbia (BC) employment legislation and labour relations practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage union relationships and collective agreements.
- Experience conducting employee investigations and managing complex employee relations matters.
- Minimum five (5) years of Human Resources management experience.
- Experience working in a unionized environment is required.
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives is preferred.
- Experience with British Columbia (BC) employment legislation and labour relations practices.
- Emotional Intelligence: Ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Conflict Resolution: Confident handling of grievances, investigations, and employee relations matters.
- Change Management: Ability to support evolving operational needs and drive adoption of new practices.
- Relationship Building: Skilled at establishing credibility with employees, leadership, and union representatives.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced plant environment.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
