- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce outputs according to specifications
- Inspect and measure finished products and parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g. Micrometers, Vernier calipers) while infilling and cleaning engraving in a timely manner
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Analyze job order and performs necessary calculations
- Makes improvements to set up times for tasks and simplify tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the clientProvide feedback to project managers on design, modifications
- Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Other duties as required
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent CNC professional experience
- At least 2 years of Manufacturing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings an asset
- Excellent written communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to lift loads up to 50lbs
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this position
