We're A-Gas in Canada, and we're hiring a full-time Cylinder Technician to join our Dartmouth NS, production team. If you're results-driven and ready to reach the next level in your career, keep reading!What You Bring to the Table:
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift, plus possible overtime.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, clamps, and overhead cranes and earn certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Physical ability to independently move/lift 50 lbs., work in environments with uncontrolled climate, and use your hands frequently throughout the day.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools
  • Computer and data entry proficiency preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Day-To-Day:Our Cylinder Technician works under the direction of our production supervisor to perform timely, high-quality work. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Refurbishing incoming and outgoing cylinders
  • Using various equipment to test, scrape, sand, and paint cylinders
  • Inspecting finished cylinders to check quality and verify they meet client specifications, internal requirements, and industry regulations
  • Certifying cylinders as needed
  • Maintaining product documentation and accurately handling non-conformities
  • Reading labels and interpreting color-coding to learn about cylinder contents and gas hazards
