Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: 3 days/week)Our client is seeking a hands-on Director of IT Procurement to lead, manage, and elevate their procurement and IT contract management capabilities with a strong focus on technology, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.Your New Role:You'll provide strategic leadership across all stages of the procurement lifecycle, overseeing sourcing initiatives, complex contract negotiations, vendor risk assessments, and operational procurement strategy. This is a highly collaborative role, reporting into senior leadership and working cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Finance, and business teams.Key Requirements:- 10+ years of experience in IT procurement and contract management, including direct negotiations of high-value vendor agreements (e.g., Microsoft, SaaS licensing, cloud services)
- Strong knowledge of SaaS models, software procurement, and IT services sourcing
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing procurement professionals, with proven ability to drive adoption of best practices and new tools (SAP Ariba, Icertis, etc.)
- Solid understanding of public sector procurement regulations and risk/compliance standards (Ontario preferred)
- Hands-on expertise in drafting/redlining contracts, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to lead transformation - including implementing contract management systems and maturing procurement governance
