- Troubleshooting, repairing, testing and inspecting mobile and crawler hydraulic cranes, boom trucks, trailers and light duty vehicles within an industry leading PM program.
- Determine parts required for service and repair to equipment in Sterling Cranes fleet.
- Provide detailed repair comments in both paper and electronic work orders format.
- 3rd Year or Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician required.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, follow company policies and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong working knowledge of Link-Belt, Liebherr, Grove and Tadano crane manufacturers is an asset.
- Working experience in electrical and hydraulic systems is required.
- Must supply own hand tools, a valid driver’s license, and possessing a valid Class 1 is considered an asset.
- Knowledge in FCC (Fleet Cost and Care) considered an asset.
- The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 955 or become members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
- Successful applicants must be local to Calgary Area
- As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates successfully pass pre-employment testing that may include a Criminal Background Check, as well as Drug and Alcohol screening.
- Due to varying site locations travel is required for this role. Any cost not immediately covered by Sterling Crane will be reimbursed as per the 955 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
