- Provide technical oversight and guidance to Design Leads and discipline engineers in the development of nuclear engineering deliverables.
- Support project teams in identifying, resolving, and closing technical issues, serving as a key technical interface with client engineering representatives.
- Monitor engineering scope, schedule, and budget performance across assigned projects and collaborate with discipline managers to address resourcing, quality, or performance risks.
- Review and approve final technical documents prior to client submission in accordance with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical procedures, engineering standards, and compliance programs applicable to nuclear projects.
- Support the review of client technical specifications and contribute to proposal development in collaboration with Engineering and Project Management.
- Proactively identify emerging technical risks, initiate corrective actions, and support structured problem-solving efforts on complex or high-impact issues.
- Ensure engineering milestones and deliverables are met in accordance with approved project schedules.
- Communicate risks, constraints, or potential delays to Project Management and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate engineering activities with project controls, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to support integrated project execution.
- Ensure engineering work is executed in compliance with nuclear safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote strong cross-functional collaboration between engineering disciplines, project teams, clients, and external partners.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across nuclear projects.
- Act as a positive ambassador by maintaining high ethical standards and supporting client relationships built on trust and accountability.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as required.
- Experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or as a mechanical engineer or technologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the nuclear industry.
- Experience in engineering documentation supporting project management and technical engineering teams.
- Experience in robotics or tooling technology is advantageous.
- Project management and project coordination skills.
- Professional Engineer qualification.
