Summary:
The Enterprise Data & Integration Architect will lead the end-to-end assessment of a client's complex data ecosystem and produce a future-state technical reference architecture spanning data platforms, integration patterns, governance frameworks, and enabling technologies.
  • This role operates at the intersection of enterprise architecture, data engineering, and platform strategy. The architect will evaluate current-state capabilities, identify structural and technical gaps, and design a scalable, secure, and modernized target architecture aligned to business strategy and digital objectives.
  • This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strong executive communication, deep technical breadth, and structured architectural discipline.
Experience:
  • 10+ years in enterprise architecture, data architecture, or integration architecture
  • 5+ years leading enterprise-wide architecture transformation initiatives
  • Experience assessing large, heterogeneous environments (> $1B enterprises preferred)
  • Demonstrated success designing modern data platforms
Technical Expertise:Data architecture patterns:
  • Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Hub-and-Spoke, Domain-Oriented
Integration patterns:
  • API-led connectivity
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Message brokers
  • Microservices integration
Strong familiarity with:
  • ETL/ELT frameworks
  • Streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka ecosystems)
  • Metadata management & data cataloging
  • Identity & access management
  • DevSecOps and CI/CD for data pipelines
  • Architectural Discipline
Proficiency in:
  • Logical and physical architecture modeling
  • Reference architecture development
  • TOGAF or comparable framework
  • Ability to define standards and guardrails
  • Structured assessment methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Manufacturing 4.0, Client, or industrial environments (complex OT/IT landscapes)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience integrating ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience with regulated data environments
