In this role, you will be pivotal in financial analysis, compliance, and strategic decision-making. If you are a CPA-designated professional with 5+ years of experience, possess excellent analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you.What you'll be doing
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support year-end audits, serving as a key point of contact for auditors and facilitating the audit process.
  • Partner with the Managing Director and the VP, of Finance to develop and prepare client budgets aligned with statements of work.
  • Assist account teams with monthly project budget tracking and client reporting requirements.
  • Review monthly fee and expense details, ensuring proper coding and pulling necessary backup documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of internal budgets, forecasts, and projections.
  • Upload budgets and forecasts into the financial system to facilitate accurate financial planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate on the development of management reports, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Assist with completing client-related profit and loss statements (P&Ls) as part of monthly reporting, ensuring accurate and comprehensive financial insights.
  • Complete adhoc reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Work with the accounts payable team to make sure the operational flow of invoicing and cash flow is tracked and managed properly.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables client credit limits, and work with the accounts receivable team to secure and collect payments.
  • Provide timely and accurate time and general expenses (GE) details to Project Managers.
  • Prepare and review staff utilization reports, identifying and flagging any issues for management attention.
  • Monitor the balance sheet to ensure the accounts are in good standing, conduct regular reviews and reconciliations, and maintain accurate and reliable financial records.
  • Contribute to ad hoc requests and projects, leveraging your financial expertise and analytical skills.
What you bring
  • Designated finance professional with a CPA designation.
  • Be able to manage a team of individuals within the media finance team
  • 3+ years of experience in agency or media finance and Accounting is a plus.
  • Must have: knowledge of MediaOcean software & Google Sheets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Suite; experience with Maconomy is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Client service-oriented mindset with the ability to foster positive working relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills, leading by example, and showcasing a solid work ethic.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of technical and leadership skills.
  • You are motivated by a curiosity to leverage AI tools to advance our clients' work and goals.
  • Must have: Bilingual (French/English) proficiency is necessary, allowing you to contribute to a diverse and global team.
